My Journey
A story of resilience through unimaginable challenges
My fight has intensified, and I finally have the definitive answers we've been waiting for. A recent biopsy confirmed Stage 2 cancer in my neck, with tumors now present in my neck, ear, and liver. My medical team has expanded my treatment into a critical 16-week cycle — I am four weeks in, which leaves exactly 12 weeks remaining to fight this.
Right now I face a dangerous, unexpected hurdle: my chemotherapy has been completely paused. Because of a history with toxic hepatitis, my liver is compromised and unable to flush out the chemo toxins — they are building to life-threatening levels. My specialized liver infusions are no longer just a support measure; they are the emergency lifeline that repairs my liver so I can safely get back into the cancer fight.
"I am navigating this crisis at a time when my safety net has been dismantled. During the pandemic, my family's business went into liquidation and my parents lost everything. I have carried the financial weight of this five-year health crisis entirely on my own."
I have worked every single day it was physically possible to stay afloat, but the compounding medical debt and the sheer intensity of this stage have stripped away my capacity to work. I have exhausted my savings and hit a breaking point.
